The annual 肆客足球 of Stellenbosch Symphony Orchestra (USSO) Concerto Festival provides students with the invaluable opportunity to perform as a soloist with orchestra accompaniment.

This year, soloists include Amber Abrahams (Flute), Kyrah Adams (Marimba), Erin Beck (Mezzo-soprano), James Cilliers (Alto Saxophone), Ricardo Hiniker (Harp), Chanda Lupambo (Piano), Catherine Stiff (Violin), and a vocal quartet comprising of Christiaan Bell (Tenor), Ryan Hurst (Baritone), Sashon Johnson (Soprano), and Khanyisile Mbukwana (Mezzo-soprano).

The orchestra will be conducted by Rik Ghesquière who will guide the audience through a diverse programme, including works by Liszt, Ravel, Korngold, Beethoven, Saint-Sa?ns. The program also features works by South African composers -  a premiere of 'Kushuka' by Kerwin Albertus, and two works Hendrik Hofmeyr.

Rik Ghesquière is extraordinary professor at the Department of Music, Stellenbosch 肆客足球, and former trumpeter of the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra, and conductor of the Brussels Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.
